I finally got the chance to experiment with wikis. I added content to two of the favorites sites - books and pets. I found adding pictures wasn't hard at all if you have them saved on your computer. Since I'm doing this from my laptop, that was a non-issue. It was especially easy to change the picture size, too. I was expecting to have to use the Microsoft Image Resizer and change it before I uploaded it. It was great to be able to just input a size and fine-tune it as needed.
One thing I did - and had to start all over again! - when I imported my last picture, I had inadvertantly highlighted the entire page, so importing the picture wiped out all the other posts!! YIKES! I immediately canceled and started over. The danger of the wiki is how easily things can be changed. I could swear I checked out the YouTube link that Steve had put in for some very classical music and it turned out to be Anne W's link instead! People could be very mischievous if they desired!
Oh yeah, wiki means quick in Hawaiian. Onto tagging.................

Carolyn,
You will get more practice adding pictures in Topic 6! So by then you will be a pro.
I'm glad you caught yourself before you deleted all the content, but you are not the first person this happened to. I had to restore a page from history. At least PBWIKI keeps page revision histories and allows you to easily go back if you make a BIG mistake.
These are some of the downfalls of having lots of input into a wiki. Lack of control. At least there are some safeguards tho.
