Commissioning Week Part 3

Monday, May 18th - Bright and early Monday morning we went to the Yard to see Ben receive an award from The General Society Sons of the Revolution: the Annapolis Cup Award given to the Systems Engineering student who best exemplifies excellence in Systems Engineering. His name is inscribed at the base of the Cup and remains at the Academy. Here we all are - so proud of him!

He was also given a Revereware bowl to keep. It is very hard to take a picture of!

And in the hallway of the building is another plaque where his name was engraved. They take this seriously!

Then we took a tour of the Yard. Alumni hall was where it all began in June, 2005, so I took another shot with almost-Ensign Ben in front of it! Then a creative family photo inside...

For a bit of fun that night, we took in the new Star Trek movie at the IMAX. Even Mom Zintak enjoyed it!
